SLC Marathon

As some of you may know I ran a 5k, 3.1 miles, last Sat. It was for the SLC Marathon. Clint did it with me and we had so much fun! I am so thankful that he ran with me the whole time even though it was challenging for him to stay back with me and not run ahead. We took Conner with us and pushed him in a jogging stroller we borrowed from Dani and Kolin, thank you. I was hoping to finish in less than an hr and I did, 44min. I loved it and it felt so good to something I never thought I would. I can't wait for the next one.

A day at Grandma's April 2008

We had a BBQ for Londen's birthday on Feb 13.  The girls had a great time
on the playground. Kaily thought it was so much fun to pour sand on Londen and Marti.  I think they took half the sand pile home with them.  We thought you would love to see pictures of that day.

Everyone was here, including GG.  The girls love her, especially Londen.  Kory is, of course, the grill king, and did a great job with hamburgers, hot dogs and brauts.  Karen made a wonderful salad and we had brownies (my contribution) and ice cream for dessert.  And I can't forget that Dad made his famous baked beans.  Kolin and Clint played some basketball, dodging around all of us on the patio, trying not to bounce the ball on the girls.  (lots of "look out!!!")  Emersyn loves to swing.  The higher the better.  I don't think she ever gets tired of it.  We wish everyone could have been here.  We miss having all of you with us.

WOW Londen is 2

WOW, I can't believe Londen is 2.  These are her pictures.  She had a great birthday and got a new bike, which she hasn't learned that isn't just for sitting on. She is so cute.  She loves books and being read to.  Dani and Kolin are great parents and are so cute with all the girls.  Londen loves her cousins.  She comes running into the house when she knows that her cousins are here.

Morning Laughs

We thought you'd all enjoy this short video ... Kayla always has a smile and a laugh for Josh, but this time the boys really made her laugh (wait for Brinley's comment at the end).

Easter

We got some bad news the Friday before Easter so I was glad to have fun things like dying eggs and having easter egg hunts to do. The girls, especially Marti, had a really good time. They put candy on the lawn during the easter egg hunt and as soon as Emersyn found a sucker she was done. I tried to get her to pick up at least 1 egg but she just wasn't having it.

It was our anniversary on the 22nd, it kind of got ruined, but we made up for it by leaving our kids with my sister and going to Las Vegas the next weekend with friends. We saw the Las Vegas version of Phantom of the Opera, it was pretty good, I still prefer the regular stage production. That's about it, here's some pictures.

P.S. Thanks to everyone for your love and support we have really appreciated it.

Growing up too fast

I knew we'd reached a milestone this year when we spent all day at the soccer fields so we could attend three separate games ... perhaps the most noticable change recently is Brinley - she's growing up so fast and becomes more and more like a little lady each week (with the attitude to match!!).

... Maybe it's having a baby in the house. We all want to spend time with Kayla (or 'kk' as we call her around our house).

Announcement

On Monday Clint got a letter from Weber State University. He has been excepted into the Nursing Program! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are excited to start this, I can actually see a light at the end of this tunnel. Clint is getting used to the idea, he was starting to think he didn't want to do this anymore. I think once we get up there and get settled into a new place he will feel a bit better about the situation. It's always a bit scary to start something new and to move out of your comfort zone. We have been here for 3+ years and I am VERY ready to go. Now it's just a matter of getting things together and transferring what we can, ie: jobs. I'll keep you all posted as to new addresses and phone numbers and other stuff like that. Conner has developed a serious attachment to me, he hates it when I leave the room for anything, no matter who he is with. So the other day I set him on my bed so I could go to the bathroom. He freaked out! He stated crying and soon it was screaming. All of the sudden I see Kaily run by as fast as she could and in a matter of seconds there is silence. I was a bit nervous with the sudden lack of noise so I hurried into my room and this is what I found. Kaily loves to give Conner his binky and hold him. She really is a great big sister when she's not smothering him.
