The Kids

Can I just say how happy I am to be done changing Kaily's diapers. She is fully potty trained now! She doesn't have accidents at night and she refuses to put on pull ups anymore. She says that she is a big girl like Ary and Afton, her cousins. It's amazing how much influence older kids can have, both for good and bad. Every time Kaily comes home from Amy's house, her aunt, she has something new to say and do. It can be quite comical. They play a lot of pretend over there and she loves it. I love letting her go there because she gets the interaction she wants and it doesn't have to be playing ponies and pretend all the time. Her big thing right now is playing house and reenacting movies she watches.
Conner is interacting so much now. I love his smile and his little giggle that he does when he gets excited about something. Usually it's his dad that he gets excited about. Already he is filling into his 0-3 month clothes and I'm sure in another month or so he will be out of them. He is just so long. I don't think Kaily grew this fast, I know she didn't. When we took him to get the pictures done everyone thought he was older than he is. We saw 2 1/2 month old babies smaller than him. It's good to know that he is healthy. He loves the bouncer and is starting to really like the swing. Now if we can just keep Kaily from trying to catapult him across the room we'll be good. She means well and is trying to help, but...she'll get it one of these days. Every time he cries she yells at me, "Mom, Conner wants your milk, give him your rib!" Then I see her walk around with a baby next to her chest, "Mom, my baby is hungry too, she is eating my ribs, right here," as she lifts up her shirt to show me.
