What does Kayla actually look like???

All right ... all right ... I guess since no one has really seen a picture of Kayla, I should probably post something so you actually know she exists. If you had an audio feed, you could hear her crying in the background -- something she likes to do every night about 7 or so. Michelle tells me it has nothing to do with the fact that I get home at that time -- pure coincidence??!! I'm not so sure. We're doing ok -- hoping the flu has left our home after sanitizing everything with bleach and whatever other household chemicals are stored on top of the fridge (Michelle would actually be impressed I even know where they're at ... even if I don't know what they're called). Dallin has been taking his state tests this week and Josh had Dr. Seuss night at his school yesterday. Brinley has decided Kayla's nickname should be "Googlybear" and smothers her with loving attention as only a second mom could. The boys are very proud Brinley knows every detail of the Star Wars saga nearly as well as they do. I knew it was bad when I heard that Yoda needed to help the ponies use the force to open their castle.

Michelle is a much better storyteller than I am so I'll let her comment on some of the other events in our lives. In the meantime, enjoy some pictures...

... ok, so I got a little carried away ... does this buy me another three months or so??

So...I bet you didn't think we would put a family blog together so soon. Thanks for the great idea and thanks to Karen for helping mom put it together. Your pictures are great. And thanks for so many and your contribution to the blog. I especially liked the one with the old man holding that beautiful baby and the proud dad on the floor. Love you all.

SO ADORABLE! All of them. Like your tie, too.

(That "deleted comment" was ours, too. Trying to type with kids is impossible sometimes.)

NO, you don't get any excuses for not posting or commenting on anything here. This has been so much fun for dad and I. We love it. AND love you.
